FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Product Overview

What makes the SRV Trainer different from other Basketball Training Devices and Shooting Machines?

The SRV Trainer is a revolutionary advancement in basketball training equipment—offering the only multifunctional solution on the market for Shooting, Rebounding, and Vertical training.

It’s a versatile and adaptable training tool, offering far more functionality than traditional ball racks.

The SRV Trainer configurations can hold 5 to 34 balls and allow you to:

  • Practice shooting from anywhere on the court, including under the rim (unlike standard "shooting only" machines)
  • Simulate hand-offs, receive passes, work off screens, shoot over defenders, and more
  • Perform rapid reps, as balls are delivered right to players’ hands at adjustable heights
  • Use the Mast and Winch for effective Rebounding training
  • Track individual Vertical Jump progress with the included inch/metric scale
  • Make micro height adjustments to challenge athletes and foster real gains

All SRV Trainers are proudly made in the USA. We believe in supporting the local economy, creating jobs, and delivering unmatched value to our customers.

The SRV Trainer is over 50 pounds lighter than most "shooting only" machines and does not require setup.

Why are there different SRV Trainer models?

Each athlete and training program has unique needs, so we've developed various models to meet these needs:

  • Youth configurations can be raised or lowered using any of the 8 fixed pin positions, ideal for kindergarten through grade 5 (who don't require the extra height of the Mast and Winch).
  • Varsity configurations provide the additional height needed for elite-level athletes.
  • All models can add Ball Racks to increase the number of balls used during training.

Ball Towers hold the most balls and can also add components to increase training effectiveness. Why use a ball rack only for storage when you can put it to work?

Is the SRV Trainer really Made in the USA?

Yes, we are proud to be a US company with the SRV Trainer manufactured locally in East Tennessee. Supporting local jobs and the economy is a priority, and we aim to deliver a durable product made to withstand rigorous training. Our tube steel is sourced in Chattanooga, TN, our manufacturing partners are in Morristown, TN, and everything is assembled and packaged in Greeneville, TN.

What materials are used in the SRV Trainer?

The SRV Trainer is made with high-quality tube steel sourced from Chattanooga, TN, ensuring durability and safety during intense training sessions. All components are designed to withstand rigorous use.

USAGE AND TRAINING CAPABILITIES

What age groups or skill levels should the SRV Trainer be used for?

The SRV Trainer has configurations for all skill levels:

  • Youth models are ideal for younger athletes (K-5) who don't need the extra height of the Varsity models.
  • Varsity and Elite models allow for game-like drills and infinite customization to suit elite athletes working on specific skills.
  • The trainer's adjustable nature and scalable drills make it suitable for mixed camps, training facilities, and school practices.
What is the maximum rebounding height?

With the Mast at maximum height, Varsity models reach a rebounding height of 9'7.5".

The Youth models reach up to 5'6" and can be easily coverted to reach 9'7.5" with the separate purchase of a mast.

Why not just practice rebounding the old way?

Traditional rebounding doesn’t push athletes to reach higher or grab with both hands every time. Using the SRV Trainer builds a Rebounding culture:

  • Condition with jumping drills and reinforce muscle memory
  • Create dedicated Rebounding stations off-court to free up court space
  • Train both offensive and defensive decision-making and work on power moves under the rim

With the SRV TRAINER, players control the boards and win more games.

What kind of drills can I do using the SRV Trainer?

The SRV Trainer supports shooting, rebounding, and vertical jump training, on or off-court. Coaches can design game-like drills to help athletes build muscle memory and in-game skills. Explore our advanced drills on our YouTube channel and social media for more workout inspiration.

Is the SRV Trainer for Groups or Individuals?

The SRV TRAINER works for both:

  • Individuals can practice on their own, perfecting techniques and getting more reps without reloading frequently.
  • Groups or teams benefit from cyclical drills that keep everyone engaged, improving fundamental skills, team dynamics, and decision-making.
Can the SRV Trainer help prevent injuries?

Yes, the SRV Trainer promotes proper form and muscle conditioning, reducing the risk of overuse injuries by ensuring controlled, repetitive motion. It also fosters better rebounding techniques to minimize awkward landings.
