The Origins of the SRV TRAINER
The idea of the SRV Trainer began when father and coach, Joseph Paysinger, developed a prototype for a training tool to help his teenage son work on rebounding at home. As much as he tried to explain the correct fundamentals, there was no way to make his son do it the ‘right way’. The problem with just throwing a ball up at the rim and chasing the rebound is that it doesn’t (and never has) guarantee good form.
After substantial trial and error, he came up with a design that forced athletes to use sound rebounding fundamentals. Now, anyone could practice Rebounding the ‘right way’ on their own – going up strong and getting the ball on the way up and using two hands every time.
With this design, Joseph realized that with a few design additions this rebounding device could be so much more: hence, the birth of the SRV Trainer.
The only basketball training device that addresses skill development at both ends of the court – Offense and Defense. Now, training Shooting, Rebounding, and Vertical jumping skills can be accomplished using just one machine. And it works as a vertical ball rack, saving space in the storage locker.
We have purposefully created a piece of training equipment that doesn’t require power to work or make users download and pay for an app in order to get quality training. Athletes’ improvement comes down to the tried and tested model of putting in the hours of hard work. With the ability to get more reps in faster, enables all levels of athlete to reach their highest potential sooner.

We’ve sourced our steel from a Chattanooga plant, our manufacturers are in Morristown and our assembly factory is in Greeneville…helping to strengthen our local economies and provide local jobs right here in Eastern Tennessee.
We do this so that we can control the quality and delivery of all of our products and ensure that your SRV Trainer is built with quality craftsmanship, for durability that will stand the test of time.
After two years of testing by various programs and athletes, the SRV Trainer is finally being brought to market, by N.E.M. Sports, Inc., at full-scale production and various configurations have been designed to accommodate every program’s needs and budget.
The SRV Trainer is a device for both Coaches and Players. Coaches can show their athletes the drill and set them loose to practice on their own – allowing coaches to stand back and really watch their players’ technique and suggest those small changes that will make huge differences on the court come game day!
Educational Foundations
N.E.M Sports is committed to growing the sport of basketball and is making strides to introduce the sport to more young athletes. In an effort to nurture developmental skills and good fundamentals, from the start, we are developing full educational curriculums to foster early growth.
The SRV Trainer safely introduces even the youngest athletes to working with basketballs without the fear of having balls fly at them…letting them instead, go to the ball at their own pace. The Introduction of the Youth model gets the Unit down to their level and even builds confidence by creating a lower ‘rim’ for them to shoot into.
With the SRV Trainer, the basics of safe vertical jumping can be taught in a safe way – providing them with the tools they need to become explosive jumpers, giving them a trackable goal to reach, and explaining safe landing techniques.
Designing the SRV Trainer as an interchangeable system allows its capabilities to expand with both the physical growth and abilities of the athletes.
Once the proper fundamentals become second-nature and proper, safe movements have been committed to muscle memory, the SRV Trainer can be used as a tool to explore more advanced training techniques – useful to even the most elite athletes.
